What books do I need?
Here we advise you on what book is right for your music education at Morningside School of Music. Firstly, you need to ask your teacher what level you are at, they may recommend a specific music book. If you are planning on doing your grade exams with a music authority such as ABRSM grade books, Rockschool RSL or Trinity College London, then you will find your books here.
Why Amazon?
We recommend buying from Amazon rather than other book suppliers. Mainly because they are cheap, fast and reliable. Our experiences with other suppliers have been that they are more expensive and hit you in the pocket at the checkout when it comes to delivery charges. We have also had issues of having to wait over a week for books. You can always rely on Amazon.
Do I buy myself?
Your teacher won’t supply your book, you will have to get a copy yourself to bring to your lessons. The music teacher will take you through the book and what is required in order for you to sit your graded exam. The exams are organised and held by the music syllabi provider in a separate location in Edinburgh. Your music teacher will be able to advise you when and where and also how to book on the provider’s website.
