Edinburgh Ukulele Lessons
Ukulele lessons have become incredibly more common in the past ten years due to a wide range of high-profile musicians playing the instrument when performing live or on recordings. One such artist is the famous Ed Sheeran. However, the history of the ukulele goes back much further to the 1800s when it was introduced to the island of Hawaii by Portuguese sailors. The ukulele is similar to a small guitar but with fewer strings and different tunings. Playing the ukulele and singing along is excellent fun, no matter your age.
Lessons are available for children and adults. We start ukulele lessons from age 4+, and all lessons are on a 1-2-1 basis with a highly qualified music teacher. Tuition can be arranged for small groups of 2, 3, 4 or 5 students if you have friends or family members who would like to join the lesson.
If you are interested in a structured learning approach, we offer Rockschool RSL graded syllabi for ukulele, which is a great way to make sure you are challenging yourself and achieve an official qualification after each exam. Alongside the grades, lessons can be sculpted to each learner and their musical interests.
