Our lead flute instructor is an internationally renowned expert with an impressive background in music education and performance. She has received specialized flute training at the prestigious Princeton University and is a proud graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, a leading institution in the world of music education. In addition to her impressive academic background, she holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Edinburgh.

With a rich history of performing in both the United States and the United Kingdom, our instructor’s expertise extends beyond the flute. She is also proficient in playing and teaching piccolo, clarinet, bassoon, and tenor saxophone. As a highly versatile musician, she has collaborated with the BBC and offers music theory lessons and jazz composition instruction. We are also proud to provide professional clarinet classes.

At Morningside School of Music, we believe that learning to play the flute should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Our graded syllabi include respected programs such as The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, Trinity College London, and London College of Music.

Our flute lessons cover all practical performance aspects of the SQA syllabus, and we can also provide music theory tuition to complement these lessons and cover all other elements of high school music exams.
