We teach both tenor and alto sax at the Morningside School of Music as well as covering many different approaches to learning this fantastic instrument. For those who want to take a slightly more relaxed approach, we can be very specific to our student’s needs and the styles to accommodate what they would like to learn the saxophone.
Children’s Saxophone Lessons
The saxophone is a physically demanding instrument of choice. Therefore, we suggest a starting age of 10 or 11. The saxophone is a firm favourite at the music school so, we see plenty of children who want to learn. Our sax lessons are taught by a professional who has a vast international playing and teaching experience.
We also have many links to music stores and websites to ensure parents get the best deal when purchasing instruments. Book a trial lesson now by calling 0131 447 1117. We have saxophones available that our clients can use to begin lessons.
Adult Saxophone Lessons
Our sax teacher has many years of experience working with children and adults; those who are complete beginners and more experienced musicians too. We advise that anyone interested in trying it out should come along for a trial lesson. We will supply you with a saxophone during your first lesson. The tuition is fun and exciting so, progress is usually made very quickly.
Saxophone Lessons for Teenagers
We have a firm understanding of the National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher school music exams. Our knowledge of school exams and advice about how best to practice can help your teenager achieve the grades they desire. We not only focus on the practical side during lessons, but we work through SQA music theory past papers also.
