Are you a music student or recent graduate with a passion for composition? The Morningside School of Music University Composer's Prize is your opportunity to showcase your talent, gain industry recognition, and take the next step in your musical career.
This competition is open to current university music students and graduates (within the past 12 months) from Scottish universities. We welcome compositions in any style – whether it’s classical, jazz, rock, pop, film music, or musical theatre, we want to hear your unique sound.
The top ten runners-up will receive personalised feedback from our panel of experienced music educators.
All submissions will be blind-judged by our expert panel of music educators from Morningside School of Music. This ensures a fair and unbiased assessment, with a focus on creativity, originality, and musicality.
The winners will be announced on Monday the 8th of December 2025 via our website and social media channels.
