Why a voucher makes a good Christmas present

  • Nothing to guess

The recipient chooses the instrument, so there is no wrong size, colour or taste to worry about.

  • Simple to give

Ordered by email, your confirmation arrives at once and the voucher follows from our team, ready to print, forward or slip into a card.

  • Past the last of the turkey

Eighteen months of validity means lessons can begin in the New Year, or whenever the recipient is ready.

“I bought a gift voucher for a family member and Paul offered to personally deliver to their address because of the delays due to the current Royal Mail strike. Fantastic customer service - thank you!”

“While my only interaction was the purchase of vouchers as a gift, the quality and courtesy of the service was outstanding. I live in the United States and purchased vouchers for an Edinburgh resident. I spoke with Paul on the phone and had several email communications. The vouchers were hand delivered to the recipient on his birthday, just as I had hoped!”

Your questions

Is there anything else we can help with?

Please write to us, and we shall be delighted to help.

reception@morningsideschoolofmusic.co.uk
Who is a voucher suited to?
Anyone from the age of four: children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to returning and experienced players. Because the recipient chooses the instrument at the time of booking, a voucher is a considered gift whatever the recipient's tastes.
Which instruments may the recipient choose?
Any instrument we teach, subject to teacher availability. You are welcome to browse the full range on our lessons pages.
How is a voucher redeemed?
The recipient arranges lessons through msom.uk or by telephoning 0131 447 1117, quoting the code on the voucher, and presents the voucher at the time of the lesson. Lessons are arranged by the recipient rather than booked automatically, and are subject to availability.
May a voucher be bought or collected at the school?
Vouchers are available to buy online only, and are not available for collection at the school. Every order is handled by our administrative office in Glasgow, and the former office at our Edinburgh premises has become an additional teaching room. Delivery is by email or by First Class post, as you prefer.
When will the voucher arrive?
By email, your confirmation arrives straight away, followed by the voucher from our team. By post, orders that qualify are sent First Class from our Glasgow office on the same working day, and Royal Mail then determines the delivery time. For Christmas, orders for post close on Monday 21 December; vouchers by email are available all through the festive period, Christmas Day included. The voucher is sent to you alone, or by post to the address you choose, so you decide how and when the voucher is presented.
Is there a charge for postage?
There is no charge. Postage is included, so the price shown is the price you pay, whether the voucher is sent by email or by post.
How long is a voucher valid?
Eighteen months from the date of purchase. The expiry date is printed on each voucher and is fixed, so we would encourage lessons to be arranged in good time.
May I have a refund?
Vouchers are non-refundable once purchased, except where the law provides otherwise. The full wording is in our terms of service.
Can I buy vouchers for several people?
Certainly. Each order is for one recipient and one lesson length, so we ask that a separate order be placed for each person.
