Yes. We teach until 10pm, seven days a week, all year round, so evening lessons after work or school are one of the most popular options at the school. Lessons are 1-2-1, in person at our Morningside studio or live online.

Can I have music lessons at the weekend?

Yes. Saturdays and Sundays are both full teaching days from 8am to 10pm, popular with families for children's lessons and with adults who want an unhurried weekend slot.

Do evening or weekend lessons cost more?

No. Every lesson is the same price whenever you take it: £36 for a half hour and £59 for a full hour, the same rate for all 19 instruments and disciplines we teach, pay-as-you-go with no contracts.

Which instruments can I learn in the evenings or at weekends?

All of them. Piano, guitar, singing, drums, violin and every other instrument we teach is available across our full 8am–10pm, seven-day timetable, subject to teacher availability at your preferred time.

Evening & Weekend Music Lessons in Edinburgh

Looking for music lessons that fit around real life? Morningside School of Music teaches from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week, all year round, so evening and weekend lessons aren’t a special request here. They’re how most of our adult students learn.

Every lesson is private, 1-2-1 and taught by a fully qualified, PVG-registered teacher, in person at our studio on Comiston Road or live online, at the same pay-as-you-go rate whenever you come.

Early, before the day starts

We open at 8am, seven days a week. An early lesson before work or the school run is a surprisingly popular way to guarantee the week's practice actually happens.

Evenings until 10pm

Most music schools close when the working day ends. We teach until 10pm every night, so a 7pm, 8pm or even 9pm lesson after work is completely normal here.

Saturdays and Sundays

Both weekend days are full teaching days, ideal for children's lessons without school-night pressure, and for adults whose weeks are simply full.

In person or online, all year round

Every time slot works in person at our Morningside studio or live online, and we teach all year, not just school terms. Same teachers, same £36/£59 rate, pay-as-you-go.
