Music Lessons in Trinity
Trinity is one of north Edinburgh's most sought-after family neighbourhoods — the villa gardens above Newhaven, streets of families within reach of the city's best schools, and a strong tradition of children learning an instrument. It's exactly the kind of area our school has served since 1999.
Whether it's a child beginning piano or violin, a teenager preparing for graded exams, or an adult picking up guitar or singing for the first time, every lesson is private, 1-2-1 and taught by a fully qualified, PVG-registered teacher. Trinity families reach us either at our Morningside studio across the city, or — increasingly popular for the cross-town journey — live online, with exactly the same teacher and lesson.

Trinity music lessons: your questions
- Where do Trinity students have their lessons?
- Either at our music school at 138 Comiston Road in Morningside, a cross-town run south, or live online over video from home in Trinity — the same teacher and the same lesson either way.
- Are online lessons as good as in person for Trinity families?
- For most students, yes — online lessons are 1-2-1, real-time and taught by the same qualified teachers, and they save the journey across the city. Many Trinity families mix the two: online midweek, in person when it suits.
- How much do music lessons cost?
- £36 for a half hour and £59 for a full hour, the same rate for every instrument and identical online or in person, pay-as-you-go with no contracts or block booking.
- Which instruments can I learn?
- All 19 we teach, from piano, guitar, singing and drums to violin, saxophone and more, from complete beginner to advanced, for exams or purely for enjoyment.
